Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Patient Care Technician to support care for diverse patient populations in a hospital setting. Under RN supervision, you will provide direct care, monitor patient status, and help with routine tasks to enhance comfort and safety.

Candidates should complete a CNA/MA/PCT program or participate in the HMH PCT Apprenticeship, with strong teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to ongoing education and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of CNA/MA/PCT program or HMH PCT Apprenticeship.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs with teamwork and ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age-specific criteria and ensure safety and comfort.
• Communicate with patients and nursing staff about status and care.
• Assist with admissions, assessments, and care plans from admission to discharge.
• Support interdisciplinary team in care delivery and participate in PI activities.
• Maintain equipment readiness and assist with meals, transport, and hygiene as needed.
