Job summary

Jackson Health System in Miami, FL is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Technician to support the nursing team at Ryder Trauma Center. You will assist with hygiene, feeding, mobility, vital signs and basic care under RN supervision, ensuring comfort and safety for a group of patients.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms and equipment, transporting patients, assisting with examinations, and maintaining a clean, stocked work area while adhering to CARE values and unit policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a CNA certification program is required; current employees may be grandfathered per policy.
• AHA BLS or equivalent may be required at unit level upon hire with validity maintained.

Responsibilities

• Uses a systematic process to provide/modify care and patient/family education.
• Assists with simple procedures; prepares supplies and equipment; supports patient/family.
• Performs basic patient care tasks (vital signs, feeding, mobility, hygiene, and related activities).
• Transports patients to treatment areas and maintains clean treatment spaces.
• Assists with office duties and unit-specific policies.
