Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 3 West Ortho/Trauma Unit in Virginia Beach, VA. The role supports licensed nurses, participates in admissions and discharges, and ensures patient safety.

Responsibilities include observing patients, reporting changes, and providing direct patient care on rotating shifts (approx. 7pm–7am and 7am–7pm). A high school diploma and BLS are required within 90 days of hire; various credential options are listed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Must have one of: Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, US Navy Hospital Corps School, EMR/EMS/AEMT/Paramedic, or RN/LPN/RT/PT clinical experience in progress.

Our unit is comprised of 24 in-patient beds. Our patient population includes admissions from the Ortho Joint, Spine, Fracture, and Ortho/Trauma centers, as well as medical/surgical patients.Location is a mere 10 minutes from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront!
