Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated basic nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under RN supervision, the PCT assists in delivering patient care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and adhering to hospital policies and state regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing nursing care plans with direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
  • Recording patient information such as vital signs, intake/output, and other data per policy.
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers, discharges, and demonstrating proper body mechanics.
  • Collecting specimens accurately and timely.
  • Helping patients with activities of daily living and changing linens as needed.
  • Serving as Monitor/Telemetry Tech as required.
  • Engaging in evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.

No travel required and no prior experience necessary.
