Job summary

HonorHealth's Shea Medical Center in Scottsdale is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the OR Preop/PACU. This full-time day shift role runs 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a varied day off and no weekend requirement.

You will support patient care across the life span with direct supervision from licensed staff. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of Block 1 in nursing or related programs, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Block 1 completion in Nursing, Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, EMT or Behavioral Health Technician completed.
• 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year; 6 months in acute care preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a licensed caregiver, including ADLs, vital signs, I&O, ambulation and care plan implementation.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition; maintain accurate medical records related to care delivered.
• Address questions from patients, families, caregivers and health care team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
