Position Type: Full Time - 32 hrs or more per week

Job Shift: Days - 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Our highly rated, physician- owned surgical hospital is on the lookout for Patient Care Technicians to join our dynamic Operating Room team and fulfill our mission. You will work alongside team members as a part of an integrated unit in an uplifting and compassionate team. Responsibilities

• 40 hours per week, 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday
• No weekends, no holidays, and no call
• Assists with transporting and positioning of patients, handling and stocking supplies and equipment, and preparing and cleaning of operating rooms
• Demonstrating age-appropriate skills and ability. Age groups may include infant, toddler, school-aged/adolescent, adult, and older adult

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification in the State of Kansas and BLS certification
• Knowledge and understanding of surgery housekeeping requirements, including sterile environments
• High-level visual and auditory acuity for timely response and patient-care assessment activities
• Ability to move quickly in response to physician and patient needs, stand for long periods, occasional overhead and low reaching, and exert force of up to 50 lbs
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Training or experience in a healthcare facility required
• Experience in transporting patients preferred
• Understanding of surgery housekeeping requirements including sterile environments preferred
• Capability to exert varying levels of force: up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently or constantly, and up to 100 lbs rarely (all patient care activities may require the ability to exert force up to 30 lbs constantly, up to 40 lbs occasionally and up to 100 lbs rarely)
