Job summary

MultiCare Health System’s Pulse Heart Institute is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing care, transport patients, and handle clerical functions within a hospital setting. This role helps ensure superior patient health outcomes and seamless care delivery by collaborating with nurses and practitioners.

You will build age-appropriate nursing care expertise, leverage strong communication skills, and participate in a team-driven environment focused on patient-centered care and service

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible (Must apply within seven days of hire).
• Must obtain Medical Assistant-Registered Certification within sixty days of hire.
• Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure.
• MA-Registered Certification Eligible.
• MA-P credential may be accepted in lieu of MA-R.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Recent bedside care experience in a health care environment.

Responsibilities

• You will perform a dynamic range of duties and functions throughout the hospital.
• You will assist in basic nursing care, transportation of patients, and clerical functions.
• Apply your strong interpersonal skills when providing care for patients across a diverse spectrum of ethnic and social groups.
• Collaborate with health care practitioner or registered nurse for comprehensive quality care.
