Job summary

Pulse Heart Institute, part of MultiCare, seeks a Patient Care Technician to support nursing care, patient transportation, and clerical tasks within our cardiovascular care team. You will develop age-appropriate nursing skills, work with registered nurses, and help ensure high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting across a range of service lines, including cardiology and vascular care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible (Must apply within seven days of hire).
• Must obtain Medical Assistant-Registered Certification within sixty (60) days of hire.
• Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure required.
• MA-P credential may be accepted in lieu of MA-R.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Recent bedside care experience in a health care environment.

Responsibilities

• You will perform a dynamic range of duties and functions throughout the hospital.
• You will assist in basic nursing care, transportation of patients, and clerical functions.
• Apply your strong interpersonal skills when providing care for patients across a diverse spectrum of ethnic and social groups.
• Collaborate with health care practitioner or registered nurse for comprehensive quality care

Education

High school graduate or equivalent

Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible

Must obtain Medical Assistant-Registered Certification within sixty (60) days of hire

Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure
