Job summary

HonorHealth's Shea Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a PRN Day Shift Neonatal Care Assistant to work 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM–6:30 PM). Self-scheduling is offered; weekend and holiday rotations are required.

Weekend differentials and other shift differentials apply where available. You will perform patient-related care under supervision, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, document care, and support the NICU team in providing safe, compassionate care for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months healthcare experience in the last year preferred; acute care experience preferred.
• BLS certification recommended or required per role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision, including ADLs, vital signs, and care plan implementation.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition and maintain medical records.
• Assist patients and families and perform additional duties as assigned.

This position is a PRN Day Shift working 12 hour shifts from 6:00AM.–6:30PM. We offer self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage. Scheduled workdays may vary, as there are no set or fixed days. Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Provides patient related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.

Essential Functions

• Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.
• Assists, observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.
• Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED Required

Experience

• Other Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
• 6 months in acute care experience. Preferred

License and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Certification Preferred
• Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT) - License Emergency Medical Tech Preferred
