Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Inpatient General Medical/Surgical Unit at the Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus (155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126).

This part-time role is 24 hours per week, with shifts from 7am to 7pm (three 12-hour shifts) and every 3rd weekend rotation including holiday track. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you’ll perform patient care tasks and procedures to support comfort and safety, requiring CPR certification and completion of

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
• Completion of Care Companion Course within six months of hire when required by the department.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, and ability to receive and follow through on directions.

Hourly Pay Range

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

What you will do

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
