Job Summary

The Patient Care Tech assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet their physical, emotional, and social needs. The role includes serving as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCTs and being cross-trained as a Unit Associate. The technician also helps maintain a safe and clean environment on the unit and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant certification from an approved program, Florida-issued CNA license, or completion of the first semester of a Registered Nurse program.
• Required: BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Required certifications must be obtained within 3 months of hire date.
