GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Patient Care Tech assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of the patient. They serve as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCTs and are cross-trained as Unit Associates. The role includes maintaining a safe and clean unit environment and performing miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant certification from an approved program, Florida-issued CNA license, or completion of the first semester of a Registered Nurse program.
• Required: BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Note: Required certifications must be obtained within 3 months of the hire date.
