Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support Med Surg on the 3S unit. This 36-hour, day-shift role (7am-7:30pm) involves direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, performing routine tasks, observations, and basic skills such as phlebotomy and POCT.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, Basic Life Support certification, and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Nurse Aide Certification may be required if assigned to TSU site (Reading Health Rehabilitation Hospital)

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Perform routine direct patient care tasks per policies to ensure safety and comfort.
• Observe patients and report changes in condition; perform phlebotomy and POCT as needed
