Job summary

Temple Health's Chestnut Hill Hospital seeks a Patient Care Technician 3S Med Surg for a 36-hour night shift (7pm–7:30am). Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the PCT provides nursing care and performs routine tasks to ensure patient safety and comfort, including observations and reporting changes in condition.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy and point-of-care testing (POCT); candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Experience providing direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT) skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies.
• Observe patients and report changes in condition to the RN.
• Perform phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).
