Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Farr 3 MedSurg unit. The role focuses on direct patient care, accurate vitals/documentation, and collaboration with the nursing team to develop and execute care plans.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, promoting safety, infection control, and patient comfort, while assisting with family communication and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care on a rotating day/night schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers; ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care with accurate measurement/documentation of vitals and intake/output in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with registered nurses and fellow PCTs to implement team-based care plans.
• Promote safety and infection control practices and patient comfort measures per BIDMC standards.
• Support patient and family experience through attentive communication and responsiveness.
