Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• PCT-related experience preferred (CNA/LNA, MA, ED Tech, EMT, PCT certificate) or nursing student with at least one clinical rotation; completion of BIDMC in-house training; Allied Health/Pre-Med/PA candidates; Home Health Aide.
• Basic familiarity with computers; ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with a registered nurse to develop the patient’s care plan.
• Develops and maintains competencies as delegated by a registered nurse.
• Maintains patient safety for at-risk individuals via nursing safety interventions or protective devices under RN supervision.
• Reports patient activity to the registered nurse in a timely manner.
