Job summary

Ascension in Austin, TX is seeking a Patient Care Technician Market Float to support patients across various locations in the Austin metro area. The role involves assisting with movement, daily living activities, and personal care, while maintaining a safe, clean patient environment.

You’ll report changes to nursing staff, document records, and ensure medical equipment is ready for use. Minimum 1 year of PCT experience and BLS within 1 month of hire are required.

• Minimum 1 year experience as PCT required.
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What additional preferences we're seeking

Minimum 1 year experience as PCT required.
