Department: ICE | PeripSvc Main PACU Staff

Summary of Job Duties:

This position assists physicians with patient care and procedures, including helping patients to rooms, collecting vital signs, entering data into EMR, performing EKGs, sterilizing instruments, and supporting patient care activities as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School/GED plus successful completion of PCT course within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a nursing assistant or military corpsman
  • CPR Certification (BCLS) within 3 months of employment
  • Computer experience desired
  • Good communication skills following Guest CARE guidelines
  • Ability to follow oral instructions, read, and write
Additional Information:

Employees must be fitted for and capable of using PPE including N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR.

Responsibilities:
  • Obtaining and recording patient vital signs and chief complaint
  • Assisting with diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Collecting lab specimens and performing EKGs
  • Assisting with physician procedures and scheduling follow-ups
  • Entering orders and maintaining equipment
  • Sterilizing instruments and performing other duties as necessary
Salary and Application Details:
