AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, Florida, is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Assistant to support acute care patients with compassionate, patient-centered care. You will be assigned across units as needed, maintaining accuracy in documentation and effective communication with the care team.

The role requires basic clinical knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to stay calm during stressful situations.

Formación

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Completion of basic arrhythmias identification course in orientation.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.

Job Description:

Utilizes basic hands-on computer knowledge. Demonstrates clinical competence in relevant areas of acute care nursing. Provides patient-centric customer service with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Floats between assignments as needed to provide comprehensive patient care. Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, and documents information accurately. Remains calm and focused during stressful and emotionally charged situations. Deals efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals. Applies knowledge of regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. Moves or lifts patients and equipment safely. Works flexible hours, including rotating call and weekends. Other duties as assigned.
