Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is seeking a Patient Care Technician Lead to join our trusted healthcare team. You will deliver hands-on patient care, support advanced procedures, and guide the growth of PCT staff while ensuring high-quality, compassionate care close to home.

You will mentor colleagues, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the nursing team to maintain safe, efficient unit operations.

Qualifications

• BCLS required
• Active TX CNA license required
• Experience leading or mentoring a team preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs and mobility, monitor vital signs, and collect specimens
• Document patient care and communicate updates to the nursing team
• Maintain infection prevention practices and ensure supplies and equipment are ready
• Conduct regular patient rounds with compassionate communication to promote comfort
• Train and mentor new team members on policies and quality initiatives

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Lead Patient Care Tech, you’ll be an integral part of the nursing team, delivering compassionate care that impacts patients’ lives every day. You’ll provide hands‑on patient care, assist with advanced procedures, and help guide and mentor and support the growth of new and experienced patient care tech staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), supporting mobility and comfort, checking vital signs, collecting specimens, preparing for procedures, and monitoring telemetry as needed
• Documenting patient care accurately and communicating important updates to the nursing team to ensure coordinated, timely care
• Helping maintain a safe, clean environment by following infection prevention practices, setting up and caring for equipment, and ensuring needed supplies are ready
• Responding to patient needs through regular rounding and compassionate communication to promote comfort and trust
• Training new team members, sharing updates on policies and quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support required
• Active TX CNA license required
