Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support the pharmacist in daily operations, under supervision, and in accordance with state board policies. You will help ensure timely pharmacy services and uphold high ethical standards.

The role includes attending staff meetings and maintaining patient confidentiality, with duties reflecting HCA ethics and compliance principles. A licensed technician or intern with proper credentials is expected. No travel required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy license required/preferred for technician roles.
• Certification as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist-Intern as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in compounding and dispensing under supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to department policies.
• Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely pharmacy services.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Provides supportive help to the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy as a pharmacy technician under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist and within the scope of practice as a pharmacy technician established by the department of pharmacy and the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, and other duties as assigned.

What you will do in this role:

• Employee reflects HCA values and a sensitivity to HCA ethics and compliance principles in his/her daily activities.
• Adheres to policies on appropriate access.
• Respects patient confidentiality.
• Upholds code of conduct.
• Consistently contributes to the quality and effective operation of the Department.
• Works independently with minimal supervision. Organizes and prioritizes work assignments. Ensures pharmacy services are provided in a timely manner.
• Attendance, punctuality, punches in and out appropriately
• Attends mandatory staff meetings or keeps current on dept. communication and information. Reviews and signs pharmacy staff meeting minutes. (must have sign or attend meetings 100% of the time)
• Meets dress code. Wears identification badge at all times.
• Performance demonstrates efforts to improve patient satisfaction, lower cost, and improve quality. Familiar with non-formulary policy and therapeutic substitutions at CRMC.
