Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff with direct patient care and daily living activities. You will assist patients with hygiene, mobility and comfort, working within a unit-based, self-directed team to share tasks with licensed and non-licensed teammates.

Shifts run 7:00pm–7:30am. Candidates must hold BLS and a CNA on the Georgia Registry, or CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or CCMA (NHA). One year of acute patient care experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry.
• Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) approved.
• Registered Medical Assistant (AMT) approved.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA) approved.
• One (1) year of patient care experience as CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance and patient care to support comfort, safety and personal needs.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and hygiene.
• Operates within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while coordinating tasks with licensed and non-licensed teammates.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

REQUIRED

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• OR
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• OR
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• OR
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

PREFERRED

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
