Job summary

Emory Healthcare in Atlanta is seeking a Patient Care Technician II to assist with direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or LPN. You will work closely with patients and the care team to promote safety, comfort, and healing.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of direct patient care experience, CNA training/licensure, or nursing program enrollment with clinical rotations. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One year of direct patient care experience, nursing assistant training, CNA license, or nursing program with two clinical rotations.
• Certification: BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned patient care duties including hygiene, comfort, mobility, and elimination support.
• Assists with patient procedures and emergencies as directed by RN/LPN.
• Records patient intake/output and documents observations accurately and timely.
• Provides support in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Assists with range of motion, ambulation, patient transfers, diet, and postmortem care.
• Observes and reports significant patient orEnvironmental information to RN/LPN.
• Utilizes clinical devices and equipment safely in patient care.
