Job summary

Emory Healthcare in Atlanta seeks a Patient Care Technician II to deliver direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN supervision. You will support safety, comfort, and healing by performing clinical, environmental, and clerical tasks, and collaborate with patients, families, and the care team.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year direct patient care experience or CNA training/certification or nursing program with rotations, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year direct patient care experience or CNA training/certification or current enrollment in nursing program with two clinical rotations.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including hygiene, comfort, mobility, and elimination support.
• Assist with patient procedures and emergencies as directed by RN/LPN.
• Record intake and output and document observations accurately and timely.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Assist with range of motion, ambulation, transfers, diet, and postmortem care.
• Observe and report significant or unusual patient or environmental information to RN/LPN.
• Utilize clinical devices and equipment safely in provided care.
