Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician II to provide direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN supervision. You will perform hygiene, mobility support, and help with admissions, transfers, and discharges in a hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of direct patient care or CNA training/licensure, and a BLS certification; nursing students with clinical rotations are eligible. Training includes clinical devices and patient care equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of direct patient care experience, CNA training or license, or nursing program rotations.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to operate patient care equipment and assist with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform hygiene, comfort, mobility, and personal care support.
• Assist with procedures and emergencies as directed by RN/LPN.
• Record intake/output and document observations promptly.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Assist with range of motion, transfers, diet, and postmortem care.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the care team.
