The Patient Care Technician (PCT) reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.

Job Summary/Purpose

The PCT supports patient care activities under RN supervision to ensure quality and efficiency in a patient-centered environment.

Minimum Training and Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferably, one year of healthcare experience, certification (CNA, EMT, Paramedic), or enrollment in a healthcare program with relevant coursework.

Certifications and Licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 2 weeks of hire, maintained throughout employment.

Physical and Other Requirements

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and working in various environments. Visual and auditory acuity, ability to work rotating shifts, and stress management skills are essential.
