Job Description
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling patient appointments as required.
2. Answering patient's questions regarding basic medical tests and procedures.
3. Providing instructions to patients to ensure that they are prepared for examinations and procedures.
4. Confirming patient appointments.
5. Courteously receive incoming telephone calls and attend to messages as needed.
6. Explaining prior authorization requirements and obligations to patients
7. Scheduling follow-up appointments
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1 year of prior experience preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent. Work and tasks are most often routine, structured and transactional in nature; work requires minimal variance from guidelines and procedures. Makes routine decisions regarding assigned tasks within defined parameters, often limited and confined to ongoing matters.
