Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse on an inpatient unit. You will perform basic nursing tasks, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, document in the electronic medical record, and help maintain a safe, respectful patient environment.

This full-time role features a 36-hour weekly schedule with three 12-hour shifts, including day, evening, overnight, and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care activities and document in EMR.
• Assist with activities of daily living and vital signs.
• Support RN in care of acutely ill patients.
• Participate in unit activities such as admissions, discharges, transfers.
