Patient Care Technician Gallatin (Finance)

Under the day-to-day direction of the on-duty nurse practitioner/physician assistant, the general purpose of the Patient Care Technician (PCT) position is to maximize patient flow through the clinic while providing a stellar patient experience. The PCT is responsible for performing administrative tasks, including electronic health record (EHR) documentation, in accordance with company policy. Demonstrates the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Excellent customer service and task management skills
Desired qualifications:
  • Experience in retail, customer service, or healthcare
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Ability to maintain a safe, survey-ready healthcare environment
  • Greeting patients and visitors professionally
  • Maintaining clinic cleanliness and organization
  • Answering questions following HIPAA guidelines
  • Managing patient flow and registration using various systems
  • Verifying patient identity and insurance information
  • Collecting payments and documenting in the EHR
  • Assisting with specimen collection and reporting labs as needed
