Carilion Clinic is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Resource Pool on a full-time night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) at our Christiansburg facility. The role includes basic nursing tasks, patient care, and support for admission, transfer, and discharge to ensure a high-quality patient experience.

Education required is a High School Diploma or GED. CNAs may be required for some facilities. No prior experience needed; orientation and competency validation are provided.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are required.
• Ability to follow orientation and competency validation.
• Experience not required; orientation provided.
• May possess CNA licensure in some facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities and basic nursing tasks.
• Document patient observations and report to licensed staff.
• Transport patients and supplies within the facility.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and safe care environment.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes with focus on patient experience.
