Responsibilities
Job Summary

Provides patient-related care tasks based on growth and development principles across the lifespan of patients in the assigned unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregivers and maintains accurate medical records related to the care delivered.

  • Delivers and collaborates on direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed caregiver, including personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and parts of the patient care plan as directed.
  • Observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregivers and documents care accurately.
  • Addresses questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or healthcare team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

Completion of Block 1 in Nursing, Medical Assistant (MA), Nursing Assistant (NA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), or 6 months of recent healthcare experience required.

Licenses and Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
