Responsibilities
Job Summary

Provides patient-related care tasks based on growth and development principles across the lifespan of patients in the unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregivers and maintains accurate medical records of care delivered.

  • Provides and collaborates on direct patient care services under the supervision of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and parts of the patient care plan as directed.
  • Assists, observes, and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregivers; maintains accurate documentation.
  • Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or healthcare team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

Completion of Block 1 in Nursing, or Medical Assistant (MA), Nursing Assistant (NA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), or 6 months of recent healthcare experience required.

Licenses and Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
