Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; must read, write, and communicate in English; familiarity with medical terminology; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Collects data (intake/output, weight, temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure) and reports abnormal findings to the nurse.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the nurse to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Responds to patient requests in a respectful, timely manner; asks, 'Can I do anything else for you?' before leaving.
• Performs basic hygiene care and monitors skin condition during baths; reports abnormalities.
• Makes rounds to comfort and assist with toileting and hygiene; ensures patient knows return visit times.
