Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with daily patient tasks, transport, and documentation, ensuring safety and comfort for patients and families.

The role requires a CNA license (Georgia) or nursing program enrollment with clinical rotations, and BLS certification. Shifts include days/evenings with four-day workweeks, offering growth opportunities within a major academic health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS required.
• One year of direct patient care experience.
• Successful completion of a nursing assistant training course.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license through State of Georgia, OR
• Current enrollment in a nursing program and completion of 2 clinical rotations.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN, including cleaning the patient’s room and assisting with procedures.
• Communicates with patients, families and care team.
• Maintains unit competencies and promotes a healing environment.
• Assists in emergencies as directed by RN/LPN.
• Ensures hygiene, comfort and rest measures are provided.
• Utilizes equipment and records patient intake/output.
• Assists with patient transfers, admissions, and discharge.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
