Summary of Job Duties: This posting will fill multiple positions. Full-time and part-time shifts are available.
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs patient care tasks that do not require a license. The PCT supports the delivery of care as part of the unit-based team in the F9 ENT/Ortho Surgical Specialties Unit, a 30-bed unit caring for adult and adolescent surgical patients, including orthopedic procedures.

The PCT works under RN supervision, performs delegated tasks, and adheres to clinical standards and policies. Responsibilities include communication with RNs, assisting with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, transportation, and documentation of care activities. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, including PPE use, and involves physical activities such as lifting, standing, walking, and repositioning patients.
Additional Information: Applicants are subject to online reference checks. Must be fitted for PPE, including N95 masks and PAPR/CAPR. The role involves frequent physical activity, including lifting and pushing over 100 lbs, and working inside a medical facility with moderate noise levels. Visual and hazard considerations are specified.
