Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a certified nursing assistant for the night shift in Emergency Services-Cheboygan, MI. Under the supervision of a nurse, you will perform daily patient care tasks, maintain a clean, safe environment, and support patients and families with compassion.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA/ARC or Canadian equivalent). Prior direct care experience is preferred, and CENA training is encouraged to enhance

• BLS certification must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Maintenance of an environment that is functionally and aesthetically conducive to patient well-being. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Interacts with patients considering their developmental, age-specific, and cultural spiritual preferences.
