Job summary

McLaren Health Care Corporation is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Emergency Services team in Michigan. You will support patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a safe, clean environment during night shifts.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 30 days, and CENA training preferred. Schedule is full-time, nights 7PM–7AM, with 72 bi-weekly hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire (issued by AHA/ARC or Canadian equivalent).
• CENA training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care interventions under the RN's delegation to help achieve treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support to patients and families.
• Assists with daily activities and personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, mobility).
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and health care regulations.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment and adheres to infection-control policies.
• Performs other related duties as requested.

Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, contributes to the delivery of patient-centered care through: Performance of selected day-to-day patient care activities. Maintenance of an environment that is functionally and aesthetically conducive to patient well-being. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Interacts with patients considering their developmental, age-specific, and cultural spiritual preferences.

Responsibilities:

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent .
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. Certification must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in direct care preferred.
• CENA training
• Prior experience obtained through clinical nursing rotation relevant to the specific work area.
