Job summary

Henry Ford Health Providence Novi Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician for night shifts (7pm–7:30am) at the Novi location. You will assist with patient movement, ADLs, safety, and support nursing staff to ensure comfort and high-quality care.

You will document care, observe changes, maintain rooms, and communicate with the healthcare team. Required: HS diploma equivalency or 1 year of relevant experience; BLS within 30 days; Nurse Aide credential preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire date.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with movement and placement of patients to ensure comfort and safety.
• Support patients with personal care and activities of daily living, promoting independence.
• Observe and report changes in patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms and ensure medical equipment is cared for.
• Document necessary records to support patient care and communication among the healthcare team.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Preferred Qualifications

• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry.
