Temple Health – Temple University Health System seeks a Nursing Support professional to provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse. The role includes performing clinical tasks and supporting daily patient needs in a hospital setting at 3401 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA.

The position is Per Diem with rotating shifts, requiring a High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of Nurses Aide/Medical Assistant training or EMT/clinical rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Nurses Aide or Medical Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program required.
• EMT training or Nursing student clinical rotation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance and direction of the registered nurse.
• Implements components of the plan of care through procedures related to basic human, mental health and social needs; comfort, safety and emergency measures; ADLs; personal care; nutrition and fluids; and elimination needs.
• Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, venipuncture, IV placement, capillary blood glucose testing, and Unit Secretary, Patient Transport, and Environment of Care duties.
