Job summary

Memorial Health System seeks a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff by processing physician orders, assisting with patient care, and maintaining clear communication across units. The role emphasizes confidentiality and adherence to hospital standards.

The technician will perform rounding, handle clerical tasks, assist with patient/family teaching, and help maintain supplies and equipment while documenting in Meditech as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at orientation.
• Interpersonal, clerical, numerical, and manual dexterity skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs hourly rounding and clerical tasks.
• Maintains chart order, answers phones, and enters physician orders in Meditech.
• Coordinates patient flow with the charge nurse and other units.
