Job summary

Dignity Health’s Chandler Regional Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to deliver direct patient care under the supervision of our clinical team. You will apply basic care principles, monitor patients, document observations, and support the nursing staff throughout daily rounds and procedures.

Ideal candidates have a nursing assistant or EMT credential (AZ) or are completing the first block of a nursing program, plus BLS from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Completion of nursing assistant program, or EMT program, or completion of first block of nursing program.
• Emergency Medical Technician: AZ or Certified Nursing Assistant: AZ.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

• Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested.
• Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies.
• Assists in patient/equipment preparation
• Performs follow-up actions as directed
• Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols
• Prepares patients for transportation to other departments/areas
