Allegheny Health Network is seeking a nursing assistant to provide direct patient care on an inpatient unit in Pittsburgh. The role supports RNs in caring for stable patients and assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining patient dignity and privacy.

The position emphasizes basic nursing procedures, documentation in the electronic medical record, and collaboration with the care team to ensure timely, safe patient care.

Qualificações

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 weeks of training required for limited or no experience.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills; CPR certification preferred.
• Enrollment in ASN or BSN program with clinical rotation preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides and documents direct patient care including activities of daily living and vital signs.
• Performs specimen collection, intake/output, glucose testing and point-of-care testing.
• Transports patients and medical records; assists with exams and procedures.
• Maintains patient privacy and hygiene; adheres to HIPAA and safety policies.
• Participates in bedside rounding and promotes safety and cleanliness on the unit.
