Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Patient Care Technician / Certified Nursing Assistant for Mease Dunedin Hospital in Dunedin, FL. This full-time role offers three 12-hour shifts weekly and every other weekend, with day and night options.

Job responsibilities include direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification from ARC or AHA, with one qualifying experience or training option listed in the requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• One of: 6 months PCT/CNA acute care, 1 year PCT/CNA in skilled nursing/rehab, RN/LPN program completion, PCT/Nursing Assistant program with 40+ external clinical hours, BayCare internship, EMT/Paramedic for ER only.

Patient Care Tech/Certified Nursing Assistant positions are available with Mease Dunedin Hospital in Dunedin, FL. Position Details

Facility: Mease Dunedin Hospital

Location: Dunedin, FL

Shift: Full time hours are 3 twelve-hour shifts per week and every other weekend

Shift: Part time hours are 2 twelve-hour shifts per week and every other weekend

Shift: Day shifts 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM

Shift: Night shifts 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

Patient Care Tech/ Certified Nursing Assistant Responsibilities And Skills

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED minimum
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (from American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
• A minimum of one of the following:
  • 6 months of PCT/CNA acute care experience, or
  • 1 year of PCT/CNA experience in a skilled nursing or rehab facility, or
  • Completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN) or Nursing Foundations (LPN) Programs, or
  • Completion of a PCT or Nursing Assistant program which includes at least 40 hours of an external clinical component, or
  • Successful completion of a BayCare sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT internship, or
  • EMT certification/Paramedic license for ER only
