Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking Patient Care Technicians and CNAs for Mease Dunedin Hospital in Dunedin, FL. Join a large, supportive team providing hands-on patient care within a dynamic hospital environment.

Full-time shifts are three 12-hour days per week with weekends alternate; part-time options include two 12-hour shifts and every other weekend. BayCare offers strong benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED minimum.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) required.
• One of: 6 months PCT/CNA acute care experience or 1 year in skilled nursing/rehab; Nursing Fundamentals/Foundations programs; PCT/Nursing Assistant externship; BayCare internship; EMT/Paramedic certification for ER.

BayCare is looking for Patient Care Techs/Certified Nursing Assistants/CNAs to join our team!

Patient Care Tech/Certified Nursing Assistant positions are available with Mease Dunedin Hospital in Dunedin, FL. If you would like to start working in a dynamic hospital environment in a supportive team environment providing hands‑on care for patients with a leader in healthcare, please join BayCare as a Patient Care Technician.

Shift: Full time hours are 3 twelve‑hour shifts per week and every other weekend

Shift: Part time hours are 2 twelve‑hour shifts per week and every other weekend

Patient Care Tech/ Certified Nursing Assistant responsibilities and skills:

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED minimum
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (from American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
• A minimum of one of the following:
• 6 months of PCT/CNA acute care experience, or
• 1 year of PCT/CNA experience in a skilled nursing or rehab facility, or
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN) or Nursing Foundations (LPN) Programs, or
• Completion of a PCT or Nursing Assistant program which includes at least 40 hours of an external clinical component, or
• Successful completion of a BayCare sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT internship, or
• EMT certification/Paramedic license for ER only
