AdventHealth in Tavares, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to prepare rooms, greet patients, and assist with transfers. You will document vitals, collect specimens, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure safety and comfort at all times.

The role requires a High School Diploma, BLS/CPR certification, and strong communication skills. Prior CNA/EKG/medical support experience is preferred; day shift and full-time status offered at AdventHealth.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/CPR certification required or as specified by role.
• Ability to document accurately in the EMR and use basic computer tools.
• Strong communication, confidentiality, and patient-care orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare rooms for new admissions and set up care items.
• Welcome and orient patients to rooms.
• Assist transfers between beds and chairs with team help.
• Maintain patient safety and proper lifting procedures.
• Document intake/outtake, vitals, weights per policy.
• Label and collect specimens for lab analysis.
• Report status changes promptly to staff.
• Act as liaison between patients, families, staff, and clinicians.
• Keep accurate patient records and census up-to-date.
• Respond to call lights and address patient needs.
• Maintain clean, safe patient environment.
• Assist with activities of daily living as ordered.
