Patient Care Technician (PCT), Cardiac PCU

UMMC Midtown Campus, located in Baltimore's cultural center near historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, is a 180-bed community teaching hospital. The Patient Care Technician assists in the delivery of patient care under the direct clinical supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Compensation

Pay Range: UYU 17.37/hr - UYU 20.86/hr.

Job Description

Direct care activities are delegated by the Registered Nurse and consistent with the Maryland Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act. Direct care includes activities involving the care and nutrition of patients, provision of direct observation, transportation of patients, and documentation of those activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• PCT Certification.
• Minimum of one year of recent, direct patient care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Maryland Nursing Assistant Certification required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to utilize universal safety precautions and act appropriately in emergency situations.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patient population(s) served.
