Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of an RN or LPN. The role includes shifts of 6am–2pm or 6pm–10pm, with every other weekend and holiday required.

The PCT records vital signs, assists with basic treatments and activities of daily living, and helps prepare treatment areas. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this rural health setting.

Qualifications

CNA certification is preferred for this role.
ND Nurse Aide Registry compliance or eligibility within 4 months.
Knowledge of healthcare terminology and basic medical equipment.

Responsibilities

Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
Administer basic health care and daily living assistance; dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, meals, and related care.
Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
Collect non-invasive biological specimens from patient.
Prepare treatment areas and clean equipment; dispose of biomedical waste per policy.
Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient care.
Strong communication, customer service, multi-tasking, and organizational skills are needed daily.
When necessary, provide one-on-one care to patients.
