MyMichigan Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to perform activities of daily living and certain treatments. Travel among MyMichigan Health subsidiaries is required.

The role emphasizes following established policies, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a clean unit. Certifications such as BLS and internal MMH PCT/CNA/EMT/LPN are essential, with additional credentialing paths and reporting requirements outlined.

Competenze

High school diploma or GED is required.
Knowledge of medical terminology and reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
BLS: Basic Life Support required.
Internal MMH PCT certification or Michigan CNA/EMT/LPN licensure/certification required.
Certification pathways include RMA/CMA/CCMA or equivalent Medical Assistant credentials accepted.
Fingerprinting and Recipient Rights certifications may be required for behavioral health unit.
Experience with aggressive behavior management training (TEAM ADVANCED) within 6 months of hire.

Mansioni

Under nurse supervision, prioritize and organize care of assigned patients and perform basic nurse’s aide skills.
Document treatments and observations in patient chart; provide reports to team.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly unit.
Perform duties in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and patient population needs.
Support emergency readiness and patient safety; demonstrate professionalism and courtesy.
