Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff and provide high-quality patient care. You will assist with activities of daily living and hygiene, contributing to a safe, comfortable patient environment.

The role operates within a unit-based, self-directed team and requires one year of direct patient care experience along with BLS certification and relevant GA credentials (CNA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA).

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry.
• CMA awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to support comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Perform procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients.
• Work within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team.
• Share tasks with other licensed and non-licensed team members.
