Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and support to patients, ensuring comfort, safety and personal needs are met. You will work within a unit-based, self-directed team alongside licensed and non-licensed colleagues.

The role requires BLS, CNA GA Registry or CMA/RMA/CCMA credentials and at least one year of direct patient care experience in acute settings. Visual color acuity may be required depending on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry.
• OR Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
• OR Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
• OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to ensure comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and perform hygiene and comfort procedures as part of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team with licensed and non-licensed colleagues.
